Vocational Education & Training (VET)

Adelaide College of Divinity is proud to operate as a nationally-certified VET (Vocational Education and Training) provider. Offering education as Registered Training Organisation #4683, ACD partners with other colleges and bodies in the provision of nationally-recognised qualifications in Christian ministry and theology, with opportunities for formal qualifications, professional development, and guided discipleship.

You may choose to study full-time for 1 year, or part-time over 2 years.

The ACD VET faculty are passionate practitioners who care deeply about study and discipleship. The subjects/units are thoughtfully and intentionally developed based on culturally-intelligent resources and research. Click here for more information about the individual units.

However, enrolled students may be eligible for Centrelink-administered support payments (Austudy, Abstudy, Youth Allowance, Pensioner Education Supplement).

We also encourage students to refer to the provider handbooks (Uniting College, Australian Lutheran College, and CEDAL) to learn about the various Scholarship options available.

Admission Requirements

Successful completion of year 12 or equivalent recognised learning experience. If the student has not completed year 12, they will be required to complete a pre-entry admission test. In order to commence the Certificate IV, it is expected that you are an active committed member of a church congregation where you have opportunity to serve and lead.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Some people already have skills and knowledge gained from life experience, work history, community involvement and other training or study that may allow them to apply for RPL for specific VET units.

RPL is a process whereby the student must demonstrate that they have knowledge and skills that match the competencies and elements in the unit of study.  This requires the student to collect a variety of forms of evidence and to pay a fee to have their application assessed. Prior to applying you need to contact the VET Coordinator  - to discuss your eligibility for RPL.
