Elaine Ledgerwood

About Elaine

Elaine plans and coordinates the VET training in Western Australia. She also teaches the majority of subjects. She also teaches an unaccredited Theology & English class.

Elaine has a PhD in theology, having specialised in Systematic theology. Her research interest explores suffering and hope.

Prior to teaching theology, Elaine taught Occupational Therapy at both Curtin and ECU. She has worked as a Pastor in a congregation and an aged-care chaplain. 

Her work within the Uniting Church has varied from local congregational to the national level and she is a member of the Assembly Standing Committee (2018-2021).  She has chaired the WA Uniting World Committee and has been a member of a national Uniting World committee.  Elaine has also worked in India as a Volunteer in Mission (2001)
