Search the Online CatalogueYou can search the catalogue at the following web page:
On the Voyager screen, press this button to start Basic Search Screen
When searching the Voyager Catalogue to locate a particular item in the collection, you need to collect at least four pieces of information:
LocationOn the Voyager catalogue, all items shelved at ATL will have a location of Theology. Any other location, e.g., Central, Sturt, Medical, indicates that the resource can be found at one of the Flinders University libraries at Bedford Park.
CollectionResources at Adelaide Theological Library may be shelved in one of several areas or collections. The Voyager catalogue will indicate this collection as a subset of the location.
Collection usually represents both a physical space within the library
and loan conditions. Call NumberEach item in Adelaide Theological Library is allocated a call number, indicating where in relation to other items in the collection it is shelved. Call numbers are recorded on the books’ spine labels and on the Voyager Catalogue. The library uses the Dewey Decimal Classification. The first part of the call number is from this classification and represents the subject of an item. In Voyager online catalogue call numbers look like:
On book spines, or labels on other materials, call numbers are arranged vertically and would typically look like:
StatusBefore going to find an item on the shelf, always check that the Status
is listed as “In”.
This means it should be available.
